How do I start a home business?
First, research the home business market and decide what you would be interested in doing. Take inventory of yourself. What do you enjoy doing? What are your strengths? What are your interests? How much time and money do you have to invest? Do you like working alone or with people? Take time to decide what you are good at and what you want to do. Also decide how much time and money you have
to invest in your home business. Before you invest ANY money in any opportunity, research thoroughly by getting information and several references.
If you are currently working outside the home, take time to look at your budget. Where can you cut? Groceries, gas, clothing, cable, call-waiting, entertainment, eating out, day care, insurance, car pooling, etc. You'll be surprised how little you need to make when you take a close look at your budget. When media persons contact HBWM, we send the publicity information out to members on the HBWM announcement listserv. If they are looking for a specific type of HBWM (i.e. one with a catering business), we will supply the information to the media. You will have the option of whether to be interviewed or not.
